Summer Learning Journey - Week 1 - Day 5 - Activity 2

For the activity, the task was to go on the Waitangi website  and say what three things that visitors can visit in the grounds of Waitangi. Your also have to pick one thing that you would do.

  1.  You can take a tour along the Waitangi river.
  2. You can visit the Treaty of Waitangi it's self.
  3. You can also visit where the live kapa haka performances take place every year.
I would pick the first one because I love taking tours of every thing.

  1. Hey Eric, happy new year! My name is Billy and I am from the Summer Learning Journey programme. It's great to see you're blogging over your summer holidays.

Thanks for sharing three interesting ideas for your trip to Waitangi. Have you ever been there before?

It would be awesome checking out the river. I would love to get involved with and learn more about the history and culture.

    Thanks, Billy

  2. Hello Eric, Well done for completeing this task. I whould rather pick the 3rd one beacause I like watching other people dances. Have you ever been to waitaigi?

  3. Kia ora Eric!

I hope you had a great Christmas and New Year break and have been enjoying time with your family and friends! Don't forget you still have lots of time to complete the Summer Learning Journey activities. We'd love to have you come back and blog with us when you get a chance!

Enjoy the rest of your holidays!

    Nicky :)

  4. Hi Eric
Great to see that you are taking part in the SLJ, this will help set you up for success in Year 9 this year. Ms K and I went to Waitangi a few years ago. We really enjoyed exploring the history but didn't get a chance to see any live kapa haka performances. I look forward to reading your next post.
    Mrs A :)

  5. Hello Eric
Good job on finishing this summer learning journey activity. There are so many amazing places to visit and things to do in Waitangi. I also love to take tours - especially tours of beautiful places. Keep up the amazing work Eric.
